What is lobstr.io?
lobstr.io runs ready-made scrapers in the cloud: 79 scrapers for 37 sites. Pick one, give it links, keywords or cities, and get the results as a spreadsheet, in your tools, through the API or from your AI agent.
What can I do with it?
Build lead lists from Google Maps or Sales Navigator, follow real estate and car listings, collect reviews, track social media accounts and job offers. Some scrapers also act for you: they send messages to sellers or check which listings are still online.
Who builds the scrapers?
Our team. Every scraper on lobstr.io is built and maintained by us: no marketplace, no third-party code. When a site changes, we fix the scraper.
Who uses lobstr.io?

Do I need to code?
No. Everything works from the dashboard: pick a scraper, add your inputs, launch. Developers can do the same through the API, and AI agents through our MCP server.
Is web scraping legal?
Collecting publicly available data is generally allowed, but you choose what you collect and you are responsible for how you use it. Our terms of use (article 6) ask every user to respect the rights of the sites, not to extract substantial parts of a database, not to access confidential data and to follow personal data law such as the GDPR. This is not legal advice.
What if my site is not covered?
Write to contact@lobstr.io with the site and the data you need: we build the scrapers people ask for. For a large project, book a demo.
How it works
What is a squid?
A squid is a scraper with your settings: its inputs, its schedule, where its results go. You create one per job and launch runs from it. Your plan sets how many squids run at the same time (its slots).
What is a run?
One execution of a squid: it goes through the squid's tasks (one task is one input, a link, a keyword or a city) and returns the results. Each run keeps its own results, logs and cost. In short: scraper, squid, task, run, results.
What can I give a scraper?
Links, keywords, profiles or cities, depending on the scraper. Paste thousands at once or upload a CSV. Duplicate inputs are skipped.
Can runs repeat on their own?
Yes, on paid plans: every hour, every day, every weekday or on a custom schedule, in your time zone. Scheduling is not available on the free plan.
Where do my results go?
Download them as CSV, Excel or JSON, or have them sent after every run to Google Sheets, Amazon S3, an SFTP server, a webhook or by email.
How do scrapers that need a login work?
They use your own account. Our Chrome extension syncs your session cookies to lobstr.io and collects nothing else. When an account needs to be reconnected, the dashboard tells you.
How long are my results kept?
7 days on the free plan, 28 days on paid plans. After that they are deleted from our servers, for cost and GDPR reasons. Download or deliver what you want to keep.
API and agents
Is there an API?
Yes, a REST API at https://api.lobstr.io/v1: list the scrapers, create squids, add tasks, launch runs, read the results. Send your key as Authorization: Token YOUR_API_KEY; you find it in the dashboard, under API. The documentation has the full reference.
Do API calls cost credits?
No. Credits pay for results, not for requests: listing scrapers, creating squids, adding tasks and reading results cost nothing. A run spends credits on the results it collects.
Can my AI agent use lobstr.io?
Yes. Add our MCP server, https://mcp.lobstr.io/mcp, to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, then sign in with lobstr.io: there is no key to copy. Your agent finds the right scraper, runs it and brings back the rows. Before a run spends credits, it shows the cost and asks you. Set it up.
Where does an agent start?
At www.lobstr.io/llms.txt: what lobstr.io does, the API, the MCP server, the prices and every scraper, in one plain text file.
Can I know when a run ends?
Yes. Point a webhook at your server and lobstr.io calls it when a run succeeds or fails.
Are there rate limits?
Yes, per endpoint: 120 requests a minute on squids and runs, 90 on tasks, 2 a second on results. Above that the API answers 429 with a Retry-After header.
Which languages can I use?
Any language that sends HTTP requests. The documentation shows every call in cURL and Python.
Billing
What is a credit?
Credits pay for results. Each scraper shows its price per result, and the extras you switch on (emails, phone numbers) add to it. You only pay for unique results, never for duplicates.
What is in the free plan?
100 credits every month and most scrapers, with 1 slot and results kept 7 days. Exports are capped at 30 rows per request, scheduling is off, and Premium scrapers need a paid plan.
How much are the paid plans?
Starter is $20 a month for 10,000 credits and 2 slots; Pro is $100 a month for 100,000 credits and 10 slots; Team is $500 a month for 1,000,000 credits and 50 slots. Results are kept 28 days. Every price is on the pricing page.
Is there a yearly discount?
Yes: paying yearly takes 20% off every plan.
Do unused credits roll over?
Not yet. Your credits refresh every month with your plan.
What if I run out of credits?
You choose, per squid: pause the run and pick up where it stopped after a top-up or at your next cycle, or end it. You can also upgrade at any time.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, from your billing settings, at any time. Upgrades start right away and are prorated; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the cycle.
