Product Updates — October 2026

We rebuilt everything. The app, the website, the extension. All of it. 🎨

Every screen of app.lobstr.io is new. A calmer layout, dark mode, squid settings on one page, and billing where your card number goes to Stripe and never to us. The website followed the same day.

And the scrapers kept shipping. Trustpilot now reads sentiment, Facebook Marketplace stops billing listings outside your search, Reddit returns full posts with their top comments.

The new app 🎨

Same squids, same runs, same API. Everything around them is new.

The redesign isn't a coat of paint. Every screen was rebuilt: Overview, squids, runs, results, accounts, billing, settings. It's faster, it's calmer, and it finally has a dark mode... switched from the top bar, remembered across sessions.

The style is neo-brutalist... big type, hard edges, honest shadows. A tip of the hat to neobrutalism.dev, which lit the way.

The two screens you live in got the deepest work:

• The New squid window... search all 80 scrapers as you type and create the squid in place, with smart task builders for Google Maps and Yelp that turn keywords and locations into search tasks.

• Squid settings on one page... accounts, tasks, options, schedule and launch together, built from each scraper's own schema, with the credit cost of every paid option stated next to it. A code view shows your squid as the API sees it.

And billing is finally boring: adding a card runs through Stripe's own secure fields, 3D Secure included. lobstr.io never sees or stores the number.

The new website 🌐

The site caught up with the app, the same day.

A store you can search, with all 80 scrapers under category tabs. Scraper pages with a playground: real sample rows, the schema, the price, before you sign up. Pricing said the way billing works... credits per unique result, duplicates free, a slider that tells you what you'll pay, yearly savings in dollars.

And because half our visitors are starting to be agents, every page has a plain-text twin: a Copy Markdown button on every article, a .md URL for every page, an llms.txt index.

The Chrome extension, rebuilt 🧩

Version 1.3.0: you see and confirm every single sync.

The extension that connects your Leboncoin, LinkedIn or Sales Navigator session to lobstr.io was rebuilt from the ground up, in the app's new look. Nothing leaves your browser without you watching it happen: every transfer opens a confirmation window that names the site and the account, with a countdown and a "session sent" receipt.

Site access is optional and granted per site. Only app.lobstr.io can request a session... no other page can even ask. When you're signed out of the site, you get a clean "not signed in" message instead of a failed sync. And it follows the app's theme, light or dark.

Scrapers 🛠️

A redesign month, and still a dozen upgrades:

• Trustpilot Reviews... sentiment, topics, review lifecycle and company stats on every review, plus brand search: give a company name, we find the page
• Facebook Marketplace... a Newer than filter, and results outside your search flagged, excluded and never billed
• Reddit... post bodies and community size on search results, optional top comments, a Sort Period for top and controversial, and bare post URLs accepted
• Google Search... Shopping results as an add-on, and exact organic ranks across pages
• Leboncoin Auto Message Sender... a One Message Per Seller option, and the seller id in your results
• SeLoger... the furnished filter is applied, and monthly price filled on rentals
• Google Maps Reviews... edited reviews flagged, and Newer than checked before the other filters
• Sales Navigator... Split Search aligned with LinkedIn's current seniority and industry filters
• TripAdvisor Reviews and Vinted... rebuilt after site changes, the same week
• Every scraper... a blocked or unreachable site now pauses the run and relaunches it by itself, instead of erroring

App and API, in brief ⚙️

• Stop a run... end it cleanly and keep every row collected so far; Abort stays for when you want out
• Monthly schedules can run on day 29, 30 and 31... shorter months are skipped, and the summary says so
• Shift-click selects ranges in every list, and truncated tasks read in full on hover
• Leboncoin pro accounts carry a Pro tag on the Accounts page
• /v1/results returns native JSON types, with a correct paging cursor
• Run estimates fixed for one-row-per-task scrapers... no more 100-rows-per-task guesses
• Plan upgrades no longer get stuck on a payment race
• Plus security improvements across the app and the API
