Did you know 70.3% of B2B contact data decays every year? No wonder 75% of businesses lean on 3rd party data to fill the gaps.
But there are a lot of B2B data vendors and most of them only give you about 50% accuracy on average.

But what criteria did I use?

How did I choose the best B2B data providers and vendors?

I started by digging into communities and social media to see what real users want and recommend.

The problems

That’s when I spotted the pain points everyone’s complaining about:

  1. Accuracy
  2. Coverage
  3. Scalability
  4. Pricing

Next, I checked out the top-ranked Google pages to find providers claiming to solve these issues.

Spoiler: most of those listicles are total snoozefests. All you get is generic fluff. No testing. No user feedback.

How did I choose the best B2B data providers and vendors? - The problems

Just a boring copy-paste of marketing copy from B2B data vendors’ websites.

So, I decided to get my hands dirty.

I made a big list of every B2B data provider I could find online and put them through a checklist built around those pain points and recommendations.

The criteria

I needed a checklist that actually means something. So, I boiled it down to 5 key factors to judge every B2B data provider:

  1. User feedback
  2. Accuracy and freshness
  3. Depth and coverage
  4. Pricing
  5. Compliance with privacy laws

User feedback is my North Star.

If real people who’ve been using a tool for months or years don’t love it, that’s a bad sign. I’m not buying vendor hype; I want the truth from the trenches.

Accuracy and freshness matters the most.

Since I can’t throw thousands of dollars at testing (wish I could), I leaned on user reviews to measure how accurate the vendor is.

How did I choose the best B2B data providers and vendors? - The criteria image3

Plus I also checked how often vendors update their databases. Fresh data beats ancient relics every time, unless you like cold leads and dead ends.

Depth and coverage is basically what kind of data you get on your leads.

I checked what kind of data each provider offers.

  1. Is it simple info like name, title, contact, and basic demographics?
  2. Does it offer detailed firmographics, technographic data, intent signals?
  3. Does it offer full coverage across countries, industries, and decision-makers?

Data samples and user feedback helped me sniff out the real players.

How affordable is it?

So many vendors treat pricing like it’s some secret government file. Hidden, confusing, or just plain weird.

How did I choose the best B2B data providers and vendors? - The criteria image4

I did some detective work and math to figure out the real cost per 1,000 rows so you can avoid getting swindled.

Compliance with data privacy laws like GDPR is a must.

Vendors who can’t prove they play by the rules didn’t make my list. Staying legal is boring but necessary because… better safe than sorry, babes.

So based on these factors, here goes my list.

Best B2B data providers and vendors of 2025

To keep things clear for you, I split this list into two parts:

  1. Top 10 B2B data providers
  2. Other B2B data providers

The top 10 are the vendors I rated highest based on my testing. They offer the best mix of accuracy, coverage, pricing, user feedback, and compliance.

Other B2B data providers are vendors that didn’t make my top 10. Either because they missed a few criteria or scored a bit lower.

But I didn’t want to leave them out because they have unique features or work well for specific needs.

This way, I give you the best overall picks plus some solid options that might fit your situation better.

Let’s start with the top 10.

You can use it to build your own B2B database with as much info as you want.

If you need even fresher data, Lobstr’s scheduling feature automates data collection so you’re always getting fresh data without lifting a finger.

Shortcomings

Lobstr.io isn’t a pre-built database.

It won’t spit out 100k rows instantly when you type your query. Instead, you choose the platform, give it the input, and it scrapes the data in real time.

Depending on your request size, this can take minutes or even hours.

Also, it doesn’t offer direct CRM integrations. You’ll have to connect via Google Sheets or use their API to sync data with your CRM.

Pricing

Clay is super accurate and it's the main reason this tool is on top in my list. It’s built for power users who want massive data coverage and real-time enrichment all in one place.

But there’s a steep learning curve and many users have reported bugs in CRM connectors

Clay review

So it isn't a super smooth platform but full marks for accuracy, depth, and coverage.

I have already written an in-depth review of Clay before, do check it out for a full overview.

It offers custom API integrations, so you can sync it to Lobstr.io and literally do B2B data collection on steroids.

P.S. If you want me to do a complete How-to guide on building the best ever B2B leads database using Lobstr.io and Clay.com, drop a message on my LinkedIn.

Cognism’s biggest selling points are its ease of use and huge contact database. Plus, its CRM integrations are slick.

The shortcomings?

Data accuracy, especially phone numbers, is a big concern for users.

Though most of the users are satisfied with data accuracy, still around 10 to 15% of G2 and capterra reviews complain about data inaccuracy and outdated phone numbers.

Top 10 B2B data providers - Features image12

Pricing

  1. $1,500 to $10,000 per year
  2. Price per 1,000 contacts can be from $150 to $2,000

Pricing plans are not mentioned on Cognism’s website, they give you a custom quote based on your business needs. This data is based on avg pricing from different online sources.

Easy to use No fixed or transparent pricing
Works well with most popular CRMs

Apollo is easy to use and works well with popular CRMs like Hubspot and SalesForce. It has a strong database.

But like many tools, some users report outdated data occasionally. These complaints are limited, but worth mentioning for honesty’s sake.

It’s good for finding US region B2B data, but has limited EU data.

Top 10 B2B data providers - Features image14

I have covered Apollo in detail in this article:

Pricing

  1. Starts at $58 per month
  2. $100 per 1,000 rows

Plus the website is often slow, and I personally felt that the user interface looks old and cluttered.

Accurate and updated data Limited search filters
Frequent data updates Expensive and confusing pricing

It's not a traditional B2B data vendor, so you can't download leads from it directly. The enterprise plan does support CRM export though.

I have explained all about Sales Navigator in this dedicated article:

To get the most out of Sales Navigator, you'll need tools like Lobstr.io's Sales Navigator Leads Scraper.

Top 10 B2B data providers - Features image20

It's the best option if you're looking for up to date B2B data. The data refresh frequency is better than all tools in the list.

Another plus point of 6Sense is its high-quality intent data and AI powered insights.

The biggest downside of 6Sense is its steep learning curve. It's too complicated. Your sales team or yourself will need some training to use it properly.

Top 10 B2B data providers - Features image22

Pricing

  1. Rumored starting pricing is $60k per year (offers custom pricing only)
  2. $1,000 per 1,000 rows of data (speculative)

6Sense's pricing is not publicly available. The data above is collected from various online sources and is speculative.

Pros Cons
Very fresh and updated data Very expensive
Accurate intent and technographics Steep learning curve
AI-powered sales tools Focuses more on depth than coverage
CRM integrations

Best for: Not suitable for SMEs. It’s best for Enterprises and large sales and marketing teams with big budgets who want the freshest data and AI-powered insights.

Pros Cons

10. Coresignal

Avg rating (Datarade): 4.8

Coresignal offers access to a large B2B data set. It’s not usually on popular listicles, but it gets a lot of love on social media.

Features

  1. 70M+ company profiles
  2. Data updated every 30 days
  3. 80+ datapoints
  4. Offers firmographic, technographic, and funding data

I couldn’t find reviews on sites like G2 or Capterra, so I tested Coresignal myself and also checked user feedback from social media like Reddit, X, and LinkedIn.

The API works well, but the user interface? Not so much.

It’s buggy, slow, and clunky. Coverage is generally good across countries, but users report missing industries and sectors.
