April was our biggest month yet. πŸ’₯

7 new scrapers shipped... Reddit, LinkedIn Leads, Instagram Followers, Realtor, Immoweb, Leboncoin Status Checker, and Facebook Private Group Posts.

Two big platform features dropped too. The Credit Consumption Dashboard finally answers the most-asked question we get ("where did my credits go?"), and native Scraper Chains let you wire scrapers together right inside the Squid config... no Make.com required.

And we wrapped the month with a proper docs + help center revamp.

Let's get into it. πŸ‘‡

Facebook Private Group Posts Scraper πŸ“˜

Facebook Private Group Posts Scraper πŸ“˜

Private Facebook Groups you're a member of... now fully extractable.

In February we shipped the Public Group Posts Scraper. The most-requested follow-up was simple... "What about private groups?"

Here it is.

  1. 25 attributes per post including post URL, IDs, text, timestamp, engagement metrics, reaction breakdown, image/video URLs, attachments, and top 2 visible comments
  2. Works on any private group you're a member of... account sync via Chrome extension (session cookies only, never your password)
  3. New Fetch Since filter for date-based extraction
  4. 15 posts per minute with safe rate limiting and minimal ban risk
This pairs with the Public Group Posts Scraper to give you full Facebook group coverage... public for open intel, private for community-specific research.

Update #2 – Credit Consumption Dashboard πŸ“Š

The most-requested feature we've ever shipped.

Update #2 – Credit Consumption Dashboard πŸ“Š

"Where did my credits go?" "How did I spend them?" "Which Squid burned through everything?"

You asked, we built it. The new Credit Consumption Dashboard sits inside your account and tells you exactly where every credit went.

  1. Credit consumption report over the last 7 days and 30 days, with month-on-month trend so you can spot creeping usage early
  2. Top Squids and Scrapers ranked by credit consumption... see at a glance which crawler is eating your budget
  3. Per-Squid details including total runs and total credits spent
  4. No setup, no toggle... it's just there the next time you open your dashboard
Update #2 – Credit Consumption Dashboard πŸ“Š

For teams running dozens of Squids in parallel, this turns billing from a mystery into a spreadsheet.

Update #3 – Scraper Chains, now native ⛓️

Chain scrapers together inside lobstr.io. No Make.com, no glue code, no 3rd-party workflow tool.

Update #3 – Scraper Chains, now native ⛓️

Until now, if you wanted to scrape leads from Google Maps and all reviews per place, you had to wire it up externally... export from one scraper, push into the next via Make.com or a Python script.

Painful.

Now you can chain them natively inside the Squid config.

  1. Set up once in the Google Maps Leads Scraper Squid... pick "after this run, chain into Google Maps Reviews Scraper"
  2. Output from the first scraper feeds directly into the second
  3. Schedule it like any other Squid... full pipeline runs on autopilot
  4. No external tools, no manual exports, no plumbing to maintain

Currently live for Google Maps Leads Scraper β†’ Reviews Scraper. We're rolling chains out scraper by scraper... Instagram, LinkedIn, and real estate stacks are next on the list.

This is the foundation for full no-code data pipelines on lobstr.io. Find businesses, pull their reviews, monitor sentiment... all from one Squid config.

Update #4 – Documentation revamp πŸ“š

Two big shipping items on the docs side this month.

API Changelogs πŸ“

Most-requested docs feature, now live.

API Changelogs πŸ“
Every API change... new endpoints, payload tweaks, deprecated parameters, behavior fixes... is now logged in a proper changelog inside docs.lobstr.io.
  1. Date-stamped entries so you know exactly when something shipped
  2. Grouped by area (scrapers, runs, results, billing)
  3. Subscribe via RSS or follow the page... no more "did this change yesterday?" guesswork
  4. Powers cleaner integrations for API users, vibe coders, and anyone building on top of lobstr.io

Help Center rebuild πŸ—οΈ

The help center got a proper home.

Help Center rebuild πŸ—οΈ

We migrated off third-party help-center tooling and rebuilt the lobstr.io help center from scratch at help.lobstr.io.

  1. Cleaner structure organized around Getting Started, Squids, Data & Exports, Account & Billing
  2. Faster page loads and proper search
  3. Topic cards for the things you actually look up... Account Sync, Credits & Slots, Email Enrichment, Filtering, Safety, API Access
  4. llms.txt index so AI agents can crawl the help center cleanly
  5. Built and hosted by us on our own infrastructure... not bolted onto a 3rd-party SaaS

Old article links still work, but new help content lives at the new domain.
