Is it legal to scrape Quora?

Yes — public questions and answers are public data. The scraper reads only what a signed-out browser already sees, and collects it in a non-substantial way. The reasoning is in our guide to the legality of web scraping.

Do I need a Quora account or login?

No login required. No account, no cookie, no Chrome extension, no session to sync. Paste a question, profile or topic URL and hit run — your own Quora identity, if you even have one, stays out of it.

What data do I get?

49 data points per row. The answer text, posting date, upvote, comment, view and share counts, the author's name, link and credential — plus the question it belongs to, with its own answer and follower counts, topics and related questions.

How fast is it?

Around 20 answers a minute. Several questions are collected side by side, so a long list of URLs moves about as briskly as a single one — and every row costs 1 credit, flat.

Which Quora URLs can I give it?

Three kinds — questions, profiles and topics. A question gives you one row per answer. A profile gives you the person plus their recent answers and posts. A topic gives you its stats and its most-viewed writers. Mix all three in one list.

How many answers can I get from one question?

All of them — left uncapped, it walks a question down to the very last answer. Set a maximum per URL, or for the whole run, when you want a taste rather than the lot. Each row is 1 credit, so the bill never ambushes you.

Are answers from related questions included?

No — you pay for the question's own answers and nothing else. Quora pads a page with answers to similar questions; those are skipped. The related questions arrive on every row with title and link, ready to queue as tasks of their own.

Can I tell which authors are most-viewed writers?

Yes — switch on Resolve Most Viewed Writers. Every answer whose author sits on the question's top-topic list gets flagged, so you can tell the genuine niche authority from the passing opinion. Nothing extra per row.

Do I get the author's details with each answer?

Name, profile link and credential on every row. The credential is the line Quora prints under the name — "CEO & Co-Founder at NetHunt" — and anonymous answers are flagged as such. Want the bio, followers and top topics? Feed it the profile URL.

Where does the data land once the run is done?
