Frequently Asked Questions

Is it legal to scrape LinkedIn company pages?

Yes — a public company page is public data. We only read what LinkedIn shows any visitor who is not logged in, so nothing private is ever touched. The full story is in our guide to the legality of web scraping.

Do I need a LinkedIn account or account sync?

No login, no cookie, no Chrome extension. Your own LinkedIn account stays out of this entirely, so there is nothing to warm up and nothing to get flagged. Paste your company URLs and go.

What data do I get for each company?

28 data points, all on one row. Tagline, description, website, industry, company size, employee and follower counts, founded year, headquarters and every other office, specialties, products, showcase pages, logo and cover image.

How fast is it?

Around 20 companies a minute. Hand it a thousand-URL account list and it is finished long before you have written the first email — at 1 credit per company, with no surprises at the end.

Do I need the full URL, or is the company name enough?

The company name from the URL is enough. stripe works exactly as well as the full linkedin.com/company/stripe address, so a plain list straight out of your CRM is already a valid input file.

Do showcase pages work too?

Yes — drop them in alongside your company URLs. They come back with the same fields, and every company row also lists the showcase pages hanging off it, so you will find the ones you did not know existed.

Can it list a company's employees, jobs or posts?

No — this one does the company page itself. You get the firmographics: industry, size, offices, specialties, products. Employees, job openings and posts each sit behind their own page, and each has its own lobstr crawler.

How many companies can I scrape in one go?

As many URLs as you care to paste. One company page gives you exactly one row, so 500 URLs come back as 500 rows — nothing to de-duplicate and no maths to do before you hit run.

Where does the data land once the run is done?

Pretty much anywhere you already work. Google Sheets, Make, n8n, Amazon S3, email, webhooks — plus our MCP server, so Claude or ChatGPT can launch a run and read the rows itself. CSV, Excel and JSON downloads too. See all integrations.

Can I keep my account list fresh automatically?

Yes — daily, weekly or monthly, on the same list. Set it once and headcount, followers and offices refresh themselves. Companies rebrand, hire and move house; your CRM does not have to be the last to hear about it.
