## ⚡ 30-Second Summary

__LinkedIn is the best source for B2B leads and talent sourcing__, with 1B+ professional profiles available for free. BUT

* __LinkedIn’s only built-in export option is “Save as PDF”__. Saving profiles one by one and moving them into Excel sheets or CRMs is painfully slow and doesn’t scale.
* __Scraping LinkedIn profile data becomes the only practical way__ to extract profiles at scale without wasting hundreds of hours on manual work.
* Most people start using Chrome extensions, DIY scripts, or unsafe scrapers that __often lead to permanent LinkedIn account bans__.
* __Lobstr.io provides the safest, scalable, and affordable way__ to scrape LinkedIn profiles.
* __It’s designed around account safety__ with built-in limits, controlled speed, and multi-account support to help scale responsibly while keeping LinkedIn accounts safe.
* This article shows __how to scrape LinkedIn profiles and enrich them with verified work emails__, step by step.

With [1B+ users across 200+ countries](https://about.linkedin.com/), LinkedIn is the biggest platform for professionals. That makes it the __best source for lead generation and talent sourcing__.

LinkedIn gives you access to all those profiles for free.

But it charges you time. The only direct way to export profiles is the “__Save as PDF__” option on each profile.

![⚡ 30-Second Summary](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image16_95bb741933.png "width=1074;height=840")

Saving thousands of profiles as PDFs would __take hundreds of hours__.

And if you want that data in an Excel sheet or a CRM, you either do the labor yourself or hire someone to do it for you.

So you’re practically left with one cost-effective and scalable option… __Scrape LinkedIn profiles__.

That’s exactly what I’m going to show you today. The safest, cheapest, and most scalable way to __scrape LinkedIn profiles with verified emails__.

__But is it even legal?__

## Is scraping LinkedIn legal?

> Disclaimer: This opinion is based on publicly available information and my interpretation of it. __It is not legal advice__.
>
> Laws can change and vary by region, so __consult a qualified legal professional__ if you need guidance for your specific use case.

Short answer… __Yes, it’s legal if you do it responsibly.__

![Is scraping LinkedIn legal?](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image6_9bf89620d3.png "width=1176;height=737")

__Scraping LinkedIn data is generally considered legal__ when you:

* __Use legitimate access to the platform__, no fake or compromised accounts
* __Avoid selling or redistributing personal data__ without proper consent
* Stay within LinkedIn’s __technical and rate limits__
* Follow applicable __privacy and data protection laws__ like GDPR in your region

Most issues don’t come from data extraction itself. They come from abuse, unsafe tools, and ignoring limits.

I’ve broken this down in detail in a separate guide, including LinkedIn’s terms of service, relevant court cases, and practical best practices.

👉 [Is LinkedIn Scraping Legal? Key Laws and Best Practices](https://www.lobstr.io/blog/is-linkedin-scraping-legal)

Which brings us to the real problem…__ How do you scrape LinkedIn profiles safely and at scale?__

## How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale?

If you follow my blogs, you might know that I usually __dive into Reddit and other discussion forums to find answers__.

This time, __I also asked people around me__ (outreach guys, sales people, lead gen peeps) about the tools they use to scrape LinkedIn profiles.

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image3](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image8_4c11c78149.png "width=678;height=357")

They were almost identical to what you see in Reddit threads and other community discussions.

__Most people start with Chrome extensions.__

Why? I asked them.

They said __extensions are easy to install, many are free__, and they look like the fastest way to get data out of LinkedIn. No setup, no learning curve, just install and go.

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image4](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image24_690c53a2c1.png "width=866;height=480")

That works… but there are few problems.

__Extensions don’t scale.__

You either manually open profiles and let the extension collect data, or you let it automate your browser and scrape profiles one by one.

It’s slow, fragile, and completely impractical once you move past a few hundred profiles.

__Extensions are also risky.__

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image5](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image22_4739291af5.png "width=800;height=332")

Browser automation is easy for LinkedIn to detect. You’ll soon start seeing warnings, restrictions, or outright account bans.

Then __there’s the nerd brigade.__ 🤓

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image6](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image18_b968b04e66.png "width=722;height=371")

They’d try building their own scrapers or hunting for scripts on GitHub. You’ll find plenty of repos claiming to scrape LinkedIn profiles.

Most aren’t maintained since 2020 and don’t work anymore.

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image7](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image4_da20f380d6.png "width=1423;height=891")

[Scrape All Google Search Results from Any Keyword in Seconds](https://www.lobstr.io/store/google-search-scraper)

You can build your own solution if you really want to.

But that means dealing with LinkedIn’s limits, proxy costs, constant maintenance, and still getting blocked when trying to scale your solution.

> P.S. If you're part of the nerd brigade and want me to write a __tutorial on how to safely scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale using python__, ping me on [LinkedIn](https://pk.linkedin.com/in/shehriar-ahmad-awan).

Which leaves the practical option.

Smart people (like me 😄), __would search for dedicated, ready-made LinkedIn profile scrapers__ that're designed to handle scale and limits properly.

![How to scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale? image8](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image7_515b2765bf.png "width=1372;height=733")

> I hear you bros 🥲, the “best LinkedIn profile scrapers” comparison blog is coming next.

For now, I’m focusing on what I believe is the best option on the market, our own little baby, Lobstr.io. 🦀

Thinking “yeah yeah, of course he’s gonna hype his own product”?… guilty as charged 😉

Zip it. I’ll prove it here, and again when I pit Lobstr against all the other options.

### Pricing

![Best LinkedIn Profiles Scraper: Lobstr.io - Pricing image10](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/A5_Ahm_Qt7so_861d490994.png "width=1164;height=749")

* Scrape 100 LinkedIn profiles every month for free
* Starts at __$2 per 1000 profiles__ without email enrichment
* $20 per 1000 profiles with email enrichment

__At scale, pricing drops further:__

* __$0.5 per 1000 profiles__
* $5 per 1000 profiles with emails

I’m using __cost per 1000 profiles__ here on purpose, because that’s the easiest way to understand scraping costs without doing mental gymnastics.

Lobstr.io actually runs on a monthly subscription model, __ranging from $20 to $500 per month__. Each plan gives you a fixed number of credits to use every month.

![Best LinkedIn Profiles Scraper: Lobstr.io - Pricing image11](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/i6y3m_P_Cslv_2fbeb7a9e4.png "width=1301;height=589")

* Scraping a LinkedIn profile costs 1 credit
* Finding and validating a work email costs 9 credits

So a LinkedIn profile with a valid work email costs 10 credits in total.

If Lobstr doesn’t find a valid email, it only charges 1 credit for the profile.

Email finding attempts don’t cost you anything. __You only pay when emails are actually found and verified.__

Enough talking. How do you actually scrape LinkedIn profiles with it?

## How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io?

It’s super easy to do it, you can __scrape LinkedIn profiles in 5 simple steps__.

1. Create squid
2. Sync account
3. Add or upload tasks
4. Adjust behavior
5. Launch

### Step 1: Create a Squid

__A Squid is basically an instance of your LinkedIn profile scraping job__. Creating one is simple.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 1: Create a Squid](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image26_2e2f970ce0.gif "width=1506;height=624")

* Log in to your Lobstr.io dashboard
* Click the red “New Squid” button
* Search for “LinkedIn” and select `LinkedIn Profiles Scraper`

That’s it. Your Squid is ready.

### Step 2: Sync your LinkedIn account

Next, you’ll need to sync your LinkedIn account. __A basic LinkedIn account works just fine__.

We don’t use your LinkedIn username or password. To sync an account:

* Install our [Chrome extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lobstrio-account-sync/mdjpjmgchdoonhhdendikfkifmeifkjh)
* Go to the Accounts tab, it’s the first tab you see after creating a Squid
* Click “+ Add account”

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 2: Sync your LinkedIn account image13](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image10_0ee7610ea1.gif "width=1528;height=660")

Lobstr.io will automatically detect the LinkedIn account logged into that browser and sync it.

👉 [How to synchronize a new account?](https://lobstr.crisp.help/en/article/how-to-synchronize-a-new-account-tidrsu/)

You can __sync multiple LinkedIn accounts__ and use them within the same Squid for better speed and scale.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 2: Sync your LinkedIn account image14](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image5_a554673fa5.png "width=1009;height=514")

👉 [How to synchronize multiple accounts?](https://lobstr.crisp.help/en/article/how-to-synchronize-multiple-accounts-1lsmbh7/)

From the Accounts menu in the left sidebar, you can also edit cookies, set custom limits, resync accounts, or remove them entirely.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 2: Sync your LinkedIn account image15](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image25_134c6e2722.png "width=1871;height=784")

By default, Lobstr respects LinkedIn’s standard daily profile visit limits.

👉 [LinkedIn Limits Complete Overview](https://www.lobstr.io/blog/linkedin-limits)

If you want to scrape more, you can either adjust limits manually or sync additional LinkedIn accounts to scale safely.

### Step 3: Add tasks

__A task simply means the input.__

The LinkedIn Profiles Scraper accepts any public LinkedIn profile URL, for example:

`https://www.linkedin.com/in/shehriar-ahmad-awan`

Since I didn’t already have a list of profile URLs, I improvised and used another really cool scraper by Lobstr.io, the __Google Search Scraper__.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 3: Add tasks image16](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image3_157695502e.png "width=1560;height=684")

[Scrape All Google Search Results in Seconds](https://www.lobstr.io/store/google-search-scraper)

I created a Google Search Scraper Squid and used a query like this:

```md
intitle:"Sales Director" inurl:"www.linkedin.com/in"
```

This helped me collect all Google search results for that query, which in this case are LinkedIn profiles of Sales Directors.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 3: Add tasks image17](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image11_593337a5c7.png "width=1920;height=723")

👉 [How to Scrape Google Search Results for Free](https://www.lobstr.io/blog/scrape-google-search-no-code)

Once the scraper runs, I open the results sheet and copy the LinkedIn profile URLs.

I don’t upload them one by one. I simply save the URLs in a TXT or CSV file and upload the file.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 3: Add tasks image18](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image15_6c481a62f2.gif "width=1879;height=773")

👉 [How to upload a list of tasks?](https://lobstr.crisp.help/en/article/how-to-upload-a-list-of-tasks-iv9pu0/)

P.S. __you can add as many LinkedIn profile URLs as you want__.

> __I’ve built a cool automation__ to find leads from Google search, collect data from their LinkedIn profiles, score them, and send them to an outreach sequence.
>
> If you want me to demonstrate the full workflow in the next article, ping me on [LinkedIn](https://pk.linkedin.com/in/shehriar-ahmad-awan).

### Step 4: Adjust behavior

There’s not much to do here.

__You can choose whether you want email enrichment or not.__

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 4: Adjust behavior image19](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image21_4d3d3a6986.png "width=1027;height=278")

If enabled, Lobstr.io’s email discovery service finds a work email for each scraped profile and validates it for deliverability, with a __bounce rate of less than 3%__.

Then there’s Slots.

__Slots mean concurrency.__ If you’re using multiple LinkedIn accounts, or want to deploy multiple instances to collect data faster, you can increase the number of slots.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 4: Adjust behavior image20](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image1_ff19a7b236.png "width=652;height=424")

__More slots = faster scraping.__

And that’s it.

### Step 5: Launch

You can select `Manually` to __launch the scraper instantly__ and start collecting data.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Step 5: Launch](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image13_475b15cb2d.gif)

If you want to __scrape the same profiles repeatedly for monitoring__, select `Repeatedly` and set a schedule. The scraper will automatically run on your chosen schedule.

And that’s pretty much it.

### Enjoy

Once the scraping is done, you can __download the data in CSV format__.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Enjoy image22](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image2_54d763e9d8.png "width=1920;height=723")

If you want the JSON version, you can make a simple GET request to this endpoint:

```sh
curl --location 'https://api.lobstr.io/v1/results?run=<run_hash>' \
--header 'Authorization: Token <api_key>'
```
But honestly… __What's the fun in manual exports?__

My personal favorite is Google Sheets. You can use the Delivery settings to set up an __automated Google Sheet export__.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Enjoy image23](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image19_6973a11e81.gif)

👉 [How to export data to GoogleSheet?](https://lobstr.crisp.help/en/article/how-to-export-data-to-googlesheet-q9onsm/)

Every time the scraper collects new data, it goes straight into that sheet. No clicks. No downloads.

You can do the same with __Amazon S3 or SFTP__ if you’re pushing data into your own systems. You can also choose to receive the CSV file directly in your inbox.

If you want to export data into a specific app or plug Lobstr.io into a custom workflow, you can use Make.com and wire it up however you want.

![How to scrape LinkedIn Profiles safely and at scale with Lobstr.io? - Enjoy image24](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image9_5db0251f40.png "width=1886;height=893")

[Integrate Lobstr.io to 3000+ apps using Make.com](https://www.make.com/en/integrations/lobstr)

But yeah, you can’t scrape forever at full throttle. Limits exist, and they’re there to keep things safe.

## Limits to keep your LinkedIn account safe

There are __2 key limitations applied to the LinkedIn Profile Scraper__ to keep your LinkedIn account safe and in adherence to LinkedIn’s rate limits.

1. Daily scraping limit
2. Speed limit

### Daily scraping limit

__LinkedIn limits how many profiles you can view per day.__ For a basic LinkedIn account, that limit is around 80 profiles per day. You can’t view more than that on LinkedIn.

![Limits to keep your LinkedIn account safe - Daily scraping limit](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image14_79bec8c079.png "width=851;height=390")

👉 [LinkedIn Limits Complete Overview](https://www.lobstr.io/blog/linkedin-limits)

__So Lobstr.io respects this limit__, to keep your account safe and avoid automation flags or bans.

That means you __can’t scrape more than 80 profiles per day per account__.

In practice, __I recommend using around 50% of this limit__ if you want to stay even safer.

### Speed limit

Speed kills, quite literally in this scenario. We can’t let you collect 100 profiles per minute. That’s obviously __too fast and puts your account at risk__.

Some competitors, like Phantombuster, go extremely slow, roughly 1 profile every 4 minutes.

Lobstr is faster. __The default limit is 1 profile per minute.__

That’s about 4x faster than some competitors, but __still painfully slow in my opinion__. Not a deal breaker though, if account safety is what you care about.

### How do I scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale?

Good question.

On its own, 80 profiles per day is obviously not scalable. But we have __completely safe solutions for that too__.

First, if you __use LinkedIn Sales Navigator__, your daily profile view limit jumps to around 1000 profiles per day.

![Limits to keep your LinkedIn account safe - How do I scrape LinkedIn profiles at scale?](https://d37gzvgyugjozl.cloudfront.net/image17_64d0aa5fe6.png "width=848;height=402")

Instead of using a basic account, use one with an active Sales Navigator subscription. This is the legal and official way to increase limits.

Second, __Lobstr.io lets you use multiple LinkedIn accounts in a single run__. The load gets divided across all synced accounts.

More accounts also mean more instances, or slots, which automatically makes scraping faster.

__One important note though.__

* Don’t use fake accounts ❌
* Use your own team’s real LinkedIn accounts ✅

And that’s it. Before wrapping up, let me answer some common questions you might have in mind.
